The weekend kicks off Friday with the "Taste of Xavier," which includes samplings from Xavier eateries. After the party, students and their families can head to the women’s soccer game. The Musketeers will take on Charlotte at 7:00 p.m. at the soccer complex. Futhermore, the women’s volleyball team challenges Dayton at the Cintas Center at 7:00 p.m.
Students and parents alike will be entertained by mentalist Craig Karges on Friday evening. And on both Friday and Saturday nights the Xavier Players are presenting "Aida" at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Student Center Theater. The Xavier Gospel Choir will perform after the Saturday evening Aida performance.
Saturday begins with a brunch on campus. At noon, the club football team will kick off against Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville. The game takes place at Shea Stadium in Norwood, 3001 Harris Ave. Students are admitted free with their ALL Card. Tickets for all others are $3 for adults and $1 for other students.
Families can also enjoy a "Generation X" festival on the residential mall or compete for prizes in a campus-wide scavenger hunt. They also have the options of attending an open house at the Women’s Center from 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. on Saturday or cheering Xavier on at a rugby game.
University President Michael J. Graham, S.J., celebrates Mass at the Duff Banquet Center beginning at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
There will be several dinners Saturday evening, including one hosted by the office of multicultural affairs. After dinner the men’s and women’s basketball season kicks off at the Cintas Center. Doors for Musketeer Madness open at 5:00 p.m. Festivities begin at 6:00 p.m. Teams take the court at 7:00 p.m.
