With the complications the business market presents, nonprofit organizations are often at a loss as to how to administrate their business and impact society. To help, the Williams College of Business is hosting a workshop geared toward executive directors and board members serving nonprofit organizations on Oct. 6, 7:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m., in the Conation Board Room.

The event, titled “Effective Non-Profit Board Leadership: The Role of a Catholic Vision and Ethical Values,” streamlines the complex business world into topics of strategic planning, ethical decision making, legal and liability governance, nonprofit financial statements and fundraising.

The workshop includes panel discussions on the most efficient board service practices and the nature of the Catholic mission, as well as a course on defining a mission and objectives, placement within the business environment and developing the means of achieving nonprofit goals.
