Seniors, parents get ready for graduation with Commencement Countdown 2007

Countdown helps seniors complete pre-commencement responsibilities, make transition from college life to careers | February 19, 2007

Despite the bitter cold and snowy winter weather, seniors are already thinking spring … and graduation. To get ready for the big day, seniors and their parents can attend Commencement Countdown 2007. The countdown takes place Wednesday, Feb. 21, and Thursday, Feb. 22, from noon to 7:00 p.m. in the Gallagher Student Center.

The countdown helps seniors and their parents complete pre-commencement responsibilities as well as gather information to help students make the transition from college life to their careers. Graduating seniors can also purchase a cap and gown, verify graduation status and take a senior portrait.

Departments from around the University including the registrar, bookstore, campus ministry, bursar, office of financial assistance and career services center will be on hand to aid students with graduation and life after college.

There will be refreshments and a special keepsake gift for each graduate from the national alumni association, including a raffle and other giveaways.

Graduation is Saturday, May 19, at 9:00 a.m. for undergraduates and 2:00 p.m. for graduate students.
