Xavier, University of Cincinnati join for concert in Corbett Auditorium on Oct. 18
Ensembles performing 'An American Te Deum' as part of concert, themed 'Happy 85th Birthday to Karel Husa' | October 13, 2006
Xavier's concert choir is joining with the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) chorale and wind symphony for a performance on Wednesday, Oct. 18, at 8:00 p.m. in UC’s Corbett Auditorium. This event is free and open to the public.
Rodney Winther is conducting the UC wind symphony concert, which is themed “Happy 85th Birthday to Karel Husa.” The performance includes Karel Husa is the guest composer, the CCM chorale (Richard Sparks, conductor), Xavier concert Choir (Tom Merrill, conductor) and Percussion Group Cincinnati.
Together the ensembles are performing “An American Te Deum.” The wind symphony is also performing “Concerto for Percussion” and “Smetana Fanfare.”
