Anastasio’s stop at Xavier is part of fall tour across U.S; tickets still on sale | October 7, 2006

Former Phish frontman, Trey Anastasio, is playing at the Cintas Center on Friday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m. About 200 students lined up last month to purchase tickets. (See the photo gallery).

Anastasio’s stop at Xavier is part of a fall tour across the U.S. The Trey Anastasio Band line up includes Tony Hall, Raymond Weber, Ray Paczkowski, Christina Durfee and Jennifer Hartswick. Next month Anastasio releases his latest CD, "Bar 17." The new release includes an expanded instrumentation of a song titled “Cincinnati.”

The release also marks the launch of Anastasio’s new arts initiative as part of his Seven Below Fund. The fund's purpose is to further arts education in Vermont with an artists-in-residence component. It also features outreach to support arts education for children.

Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster locations. Tickets are $38.50 or $15 with a Xavier ALL Card.
