Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J., speaking on service of faith in religiously pluralistic world on second visit to Xavier | August 1, 2006
Peter-Hans Kolvenbach, S.J., superior general of the Society of Jesus, is the featured speaker at this year’s Academic Day, Oct. 3. The visit, in honor of the University’s 175th anniversary, marks the superior general’s second visit to campus—and the Queen City. Kolvenbach spent two days in Cincinnati in May 1996 while touring the Jesuits’ Chicago province.
"We’re very honored that with all of his commitments that he was willing and able to be here in conjunction with 175 anniversary," says Leo Klein, vice president for mission and ministry.
Kolvenbach is giving a talk on the service of faith in a religiously pluralistic world in the late afternoon. A delegation from St. Xavier High School is joining him in the evening and he is making remarks after dinner to a University audience.
