The 12th annual Women of Color Luncheon is being held at Xavier University on Wednesday, March 15, in the Cintas Center Banquet Room, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. The event, titled “Women at the Crossroad: The Conversation Continues—Shaping Our Future,” is an opportunity to discuss ways young women can succeed and lead productive lives. The luncheon is part of a series of events that celebrate Women’s History Month.

Speakers for the event include Cathy McDaniels Wilson, professor of psychology, Hilreth Lanig, professor of nursing, Raven Curry, senior communications major, and Charity Wayua, junior chemistry and biology major. Tonya Dawson is the mistress of ceremony. These speakers were chosen because of their leadership and ability to inspire and encourage other women.

The office of multicultural affairs is sponsoring the event, and seeks to promote an educational environment that recognizes and celebrates the diverse composition of the University and its surrounding communities.

The luncheon is open to the public. Cost is $27 per person. R.S.V.P. is required by March 8. To reserve a place, call 513 745-3181.
