Yearlong, interactive seminars begin Tuesday, Feb. 28; cover financial, operational, technological, legal risks | February 2, 2006

Today’s corporate environment and culture demands an increased focus on risk management and corporate governance. To help the Cincinnati business community learn more about financial, operational, technology and legal/regulatory risks, Xavier and KPMG, the audit, tax and advisory firm, are hosting a yearlong series of interactive seminars.

The first seminar is being held Tuesday, Feb. 28, at the University’s Cintas Center and begins with a continental breakfast at 7:30 a.m. The formal program runs from 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. The seminar is free, but registration is required.

The first topic in the series, "Records Risk Management," addresses inherent risk, life cycle risk and records production risk.

Throughout the seminars participants encompass an array of corporate executives from Cincinnati including audit directors, tax directors, controllers, CFOs, senior business and IT executives, corporate legal staff, CIOs, as well as academicians and researchers, analysts, venture capitalists and high-tech legal experts, and policy building organizations and government representatives. Other seminars are being announced throughout the year.
