The series is based on the theme, “Five Pillars of a New World Building,” explored in a video by Benjamin J. Urmston, S.J., director of peace and justice programs. All lectures in this series are free and open to the public and each presentation begins with a showing of a short video, “A Vision of Hope,” which discusses five themes: a global ethic, human rights, non-violence, economic democracy and democratic world order.
Each speaker addresses three thematic questions: Is it necessary? Is it possible? What is the way forward? The program includes a response from Urmston and concludes with an audience question and answer session.
