Concert Choir performs New Year's Eve concert with CSO

Choir joined by May Festival Youth Chorus, Cincinnati Studio Cloggers, marching bands | January 1, 2006

Members of the Concert Choir are performing at the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra's (CSO) New Year's Eve concert on Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Music Hall. The evening begins with Maestro Erich Kunzel conducting the CSO in selections from Meredith Willson’s The Music Man, plus light classical works.

The Concert Choir members perform along with dancers from the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Studio Cloggers, May Festival Youth Chorus, marching bands from several high schools and more. For more information contact the CSO at 513 381-3300.

The Concert Choir, directed by Thomas Merrill, assistant professor of music and director of choral activities, is the primary vocal ensemble of the University's music department. It is made up of 48 students who are majoring in a variety of subjects, from music performance to chemistry.
