University offers M.B.A. program in Fairfield, Ohio

New cohort program takes 22 months to complete at off-campus location | September 7, 2005

To meet the need for an accredited M.B.A. program in the growing suburbs north of Cincinnati, Xavier began offering its M.B.A. classes in Fairfield, Ohio. The first class of the Xavier M.B.A. at Fairfield, which meets in the offices of the Cincinnati Financial Corp., started classes Aug. 17 with 25 students.

“The Xavier M.B.A. at Fairfield allows us to offer a high quality AACSB-accredited M.B.A. program to individuals living in Cincinnati's northern suburbs," says Ali Malekzadeh, dean of the Williams College of Business. "We hope to attract working professionals who live or work in West Chester, Mason, Fairfield, Hamilton, Middletown and Franklin by providing them the kind of education Xavier is famous for and in a location that is convenient for them.”

Classes are taught by Xavier faculty and the program has already shown success: Twenty-five students enrolled within 10 days of the University receiving official approval from its accrediting agencies.

“Admission to the program is only in the fall semester every year,” says Raghu Tadepalli, associate dean of the Williams College of Business. “The program is a cohort program, which takes 22 months to complete. Since the class size is limited to 36, students' early application is encouraged.”
