Coaches' camps teach fundamentals and sportsmanship in competitive setting | July 6, 2005

Xavier is hosting seven summer camps that instructs young players in the fundamentals of the game while teaching sportsmanship and appreciation for the sport. These camps offer personalized instruction in a challenging, competitive setting. They run June through August.

The Sean Miller basketball camp offers four sessions throughout July open to boys in grades 2-9. The camp also sponsors an overnight session for those ages 8-17.

For girls ages 5-18, the Alvin Alexander Soccer Academy runs through the beginning of August, with morning sessions for ages 5-8 and all day sessions for ages 9-18. David Schureck’s soccer camps offer both goalkeeper and team sessions for ages 12-18 through the end of July.

Through the middle of July, Floyd Deaton’s volleyball camp runs a morning setter/hitter camp and an afternoon intermediate skills camp for grades 4-12.

Also in mid-July is Doug Steiner’s Musketeer golf camp. This all day, week long program targets co-ed golfers, ages 10-18.
