Station hosts an information session Monday night about Emerald Isle excursion | February 14, 2003
Radio station WVXU (91.7FM) is taking its listeners on a trip back in time with a 10-day exploration of the wonders of Ireland. The station is hosting a fall trip to the Emerald Isle called "Shades of Ireland." There is a preview party Monday, Feb. 17, at 7:00 p.m. in the audience studio at the WVXU station (1648 Herald Ave., Norwood). Representatives from Collette Travel Services are answering questions about the travel package and itenerary.
The trip runs from Oct. 24-Nov. 2 and begins with a medieval banquet in an authentic Irish castle. It continues with visits to other beautiful and ancient castles, such as Kilkenny Castle, Dublin Castle and an overnight stay in Kinnitty or Cabra Castle. Other stops include the Ring of Kerry, the Laurels Singing Pub, the Blarney Stone and a tour of the Waterford crystal factory.
