Department of music hosts spring music festival
Festival continues through Saturday, April 23, and features winds ensemble, concert choir, chamber ensemble and concert orchestra | April 19, 2005
The department of music is hosting its spring music festival on Wednesday, April 20, through Saturday, April 23. A variety of concerts are being held at various locations on campus. Tickets are available at the door an hour prior to the concert. Admission is $2 for students, $5 for adults for each event.

- On Thursday, April 21, there is a music for winds concert at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Student Center theater. The symphonic wind ensemble, directed by Brandon Jones, is performing music by Holst, Vaughan Williams and Holsinger.
- A music for voices concert is scheduled for Friday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Student Center theater. The vocal chamber ensemble, conducted by Thomas Merrill, is performing Music for a Missa Brevis. The performance also features the concert choir, spring choral concert and student conductors.
- On Saturday, April 23, a music for orchestra concert takes place at 7:30 p.m. in the Gallagher Student Center theater. The concert orchestra is conducted by Dale Swisher and includes Chris Wilke on guitar. The orchestra is performing music by Mozart, Vivaldi and Bizet.
