Army Reserve captain speaks on campus about Iraq experience

University employee Steven Easley served two tours of duty with Army Corps of Engineers | April 18, 2005

Army Reserve Captain and University employee Steven Easley spoke about his recent experiences in Iraq on Wednesday, April 20, at 9:00 p.m. in Kelley Auditorium.

Easley served two tours of duty in Iraq with the Army Corps of Engineers. He was the coordinator for technology in Xavier’s office of admission before being deployed. He is now the Portal project manager for the office of Web resources and services.

Easley returned to the United States in February after serving his second tour, which lasted 15 months. During his last tour, Easley was in charge of a unit responsible for plumbing and electrical maintenance.

Easley talked about his personal experience and about the situation in Iraq. There was also a question-and-answer session.
