Labor rights leaders address Bangladesh working conditions | October 1, 2002

The ethics, religion and society program, peace and justice program, and women’s and minorities studies program are hosting representatives from the National Labor Committee and People of Faith Network today at 2:30 p.m. in Logan Hall, Room 100. Labor rights leaders and workers Lisa Rahman and Muhamuda Akter from the Bangladesh Workers Solidarity Center lead the discussion on current Bangladesh working conditions. The event offers students, faculty and administrators the opportunity to listen and ask questions concerning these two women and the conditions they’ve worked under in Bangladesh factories. The event is free. For more information, contact Marie Giblin at 513 745-2021
