Karelisa Hartigan, PhD, will speak on "Drama and Healing: Ancient and Modern". Dr. Hartigan is a professor of classics at the University of Florida where she specializes in drama and the relationship between the ancient and modern worlds, and where she is currently working on a book on drama and healing in ancient Greece and contemporary America.
As part of her research on arts and healing in the modern hospital, she has become an improvisational actress with the Arts-in-Medicine program and the University of Floriday's hospital.
Her lecture will held in the Conaton Board Room on Saturday, 20 March, at 4:30 pm. A reception will immediately follow.
