The Xavier Players student theater group is performing Never the Sinner: The Leopold and Loeb Story, a play that tells the story of the two young millionaires who abducted and killed a 14-year-old boy, and then stood trial for their crimes. The weekend is also filled with athletic action as the women's basketball team hosts the Provident Bank Xavier Invitational Woman's Basketball Tournament at the Cintas Center. On Saturday, the tournament begins at 1:00 p.m. as Xavier battles Central Michigan University; at 3:00 p.m. High Point University battles East Tennessee State University. The championship game takes place on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
