Highlights of Sunday’s game include sophomore Meredith Frendt’s pair of goals to lead the Musketeer offense. Fellow sophomore Angie Scarlato also scored a goal and recorded an assist.

Xavier opened the scoring at the 11:44 mark as Frendt found the back of the net, finishing off a pass from Scarlato. Duquesne answered with a goal at the 29:45 mark to tie the score at 1-1, which remained on the scoreboard at halftime.

Duquesne jumped out to a 2-1 lead with a goal early in the second half at 49:29, but the Musketeers would not go away. This time it was Scarlato’s turn to score as she recorded an unassisted goal at the 68:25 mark. Frendt scored what proved to be the game-winner on an unassisted scoring play at 81:31.
