The Xavier Players theater group also began a series of performances of the musical Footloose last week. Those performances continue through Sunday, Nov. 24. The performances start at 8:00 p.m. in the Gallagher Center Theater, with a 2:00 p.m. showing on Sunday. For ticket information, call 513 745-3205. Admission is free but reservations are required. The homecoming parade is on Saturday as well, starting at 11:00 a.m. at the Cintas Center. Entries include area high school bands, student floats and local celebrities. Viewing is available along Victory Parkway and Ledgewood, Herald and Dana avenues. Xavier opera students offer a lunchtime musical feast on Saturday as they perform arias, duets and ensembles while serving a three-course lunch. A cash bar is available, as are vegetarian options. Cost is $20 for adults and $15 for children age 12 and under. Reservations are due by Friday, Nov. 22. Reserve a seat by calling 513 745-3959. Local band Four on the Floor is providing the music, while WGRR disc jockey J.D. Hughes hosts the evening. Cost is $10 and reservations are required. On Sunday, Nov. 24, the men’s basketball team battles Florida A&M at 2:00 p.m. in the Cintas Center arena. The game features a special halftime show. Tickets are $13.
