Men's basketball team rolls to first win

The men's basketball team began its season with an 87-48 win over St. Peter's College at the Cintas Center last night in the first round of the National Invitation Tournament. The Musketeers now travel to Stanford University for the second round of the NIT on Wednesday, Nov. 20. The Cardinal edged Boston University 61-57 with a late-game charge. Xavier jumped to a 16-2 start at the beginning of last night's game against St. Peter's. The team stretched the lead to as much as 23 in the first half and continued with that pace in the second half. Romain Sato led the team with 23 points and nine rebounds.
