Club Day on the mall gets students involved on campus

Koinonia, international center and business college also jump-start semester with events this week | September 8, 2003

Monday, Sept. 8, is a bustling day on campus as the University’s student-run organizations and clubs show their stuff at Club Day on the mall. This annual event sponsored by the student government association runs from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. on the residential mall in front of Gallagher Student Center. Information booths allow new and returning students to join or gain information concerning the University’s 63 clubs and 24 organizations. Also on Monday, the Wellness team sponsors a lunch and learn seminar titled introduction to aromatherapy at noon in Room 330 of the Gallagher Student Center. Also on Monday, the men’s golf team opens its season in Pinehurst, N.C., at the two-day Mid Pines Intercollegiate tournament. For more information, call 513 745-3411.

On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the Williams College of Business invites business students to join Dean Ali Malekzadeh for breakfast from 9:30 a.m.-10:00 a.m. in the Nieporte Lounge on the ground level of Halistones Hall (formerly known as the College of Business). The seasonal “Make Breakfast Your Business” offers students complimentary donuts, bagels, muffins and juice. Interested students who are unable to attend Tuesday’s breakfast can stop by Wednesday, Sept. 10, from 9:15 a.m.-9:45 at the same location for another offering.

On Wednesday, the office of instructional technology offers training services for faculty, staff and students from 2:00 p.m.-4:00 p.m. in Alter Hall B-2. These services are part of the training services division’s semi-monthly open sessions regarding the use of University-supported software or projects involving software applications.
