Potential graduate students explore graduate degree and certificate programs | June 16, 2003

Xavier’s Graduate Expo 2003 is Thursday, June 19, from 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. in the Cintas Center. The expo is an opportunity for potential graduate students to explore Xavier’s programs and meet with faculty and staff. Some of the graduate and certificate programs include: master of arts in English, humanities, theology, community counseling, school counseling, and psychology; master of business administration; master of education with concentrations in administration, Montessori, secondary, special education, elementary education, reading education and multicultural literature for children; master of education in human resources development and sport administration; master of health services administration; master of science in criminal justice and nursing administration. Xavier also offers a doctorate in psychology (clinical psychology), a post-baccalaureate certificate in occupational therapy and initial teacher licensure in early childhood, middle childhood, secondary and special education. Dual degree options are also available through the M.B.A. and nursing programs. “There are three reasons graduate students choose Xavier,” said John Cooper, director of graduate services. “They are academic reputation, personal attention from faculty and staff, and quality of classroom instruction.” Those interested in attending the expo are encouraged to pre-register at www.xu.edu/graduate_services/openhouses.htm or by contacting the office of graduate services at 513 745-3360 or 800 344-4698.
