The Romero international center and the international student society are sponsoring the second annual WorldQuest international trivia competition on Friday, Nov. 15, at 6:00 p.m. in the Cintas Center. The winners go on to compete against other local winners in a citywide competition in May. Cost for a team of eight is $100, and the deadline to register is Thursday, Oct. 31.
The trivia-based competition was created by the North Carolina-based World Affairs Council and is played on colleges and other venues around the nation. Each team of eight people answers questions on various international topics. Prizes are awarded to the three highest scores. Drawings also take place throughout the event.
This years entertainment includes a Japanese comedy called a rakugo and flamenco dancing performed by students from Spain. All proceeds raised during the event go toward establishing grants for an international student and study abroad participant.
The event is closed to spectators. To register or get more information, call 513 745-2864.
