Tyler Ruter, a senior at Archbishop Moeller, has selected Xavier University to continue both his academic and athletic careers. Ruter is the third forward for the class of 2017 along with two other incoming defensemen.

Tyler is a 5' 11, 150 lb winger who enjoyed a stellar career while at Moeller.  He netted 34 goals as a senior and surpassed the 100 point thresh hold during his days at Moeller.  Ruter was also named 2nd team all CHC and played in the Ohio Senior All Star game.

"Everything we know about Tyler is he is not just a talented hockey player but a great kid.  Coach Reeder has nothing but praise for him" said Coach Barnett.

Coach Driscoll offered this regarding the new players, "we are hoping to add two more key players in the next few weeks and then see what happens with walk ons.  So far we have had a strong off season in terms of adding new talent.  This is crucial for next year and the years to come."

Tyler will study medicine while at XU joining four other current Muskies.
