December 26, 2013

Xavier University’s Sustainability Committee is pleased to announce that Xavier University has been selected for membership in the Greater Cincinnati Green Business Council.  The Council’s mission is “to inspire the business community to deliver a better social, economic and environmental future” and its purpose is “to share best practices while collaborating to drive and accelerate sustainable development in the Greater Cincinnati region.”

Initially formed by key environmental and sustainability leaders from seven Cincinnati area corporations (P&G, Mitsubishi Electric Automotive America, Melink Corporation, Macy’s, Luxottica Group and Fifth Third Bank), the council is the area’s first collaboration of local business leaders dedicated to promoting sustainability while increasing the bottom line. The group has since been expanded to include Kroger, Toyota, Duke Energy, the Cincinnati Zoo, General Cable, US Bank, MillerCoors, Graydon Head, emersion Design, and now Xavier University.
