Department's team wins WorldQuest

The Department of Mathematics and Computer Science's "The Radicals" are the 2014 WorldQuest Champions! The 2014 WorldQuest Champion Roster for "The Radicals": Minnie Catral, Sean Gravelle, Hsing-Yi Kao, Esmeralda Nastase, Danny Otero, Drew Phillip, Joe Wagner and Bin Yu.

3 teams compete in COMAP Mathematical Contest in Modeling

Every February, the Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications holds its Mathematical Contest in Modeling (MCM), which challenges teams of students to clarify, analyze, and propose solutions to open-ended problems. This year's participants include: Team 1: Andy Giese, Imeldah Muli and Drew Philip (worked on a traffic flow problem) Team 2: TJ Lamantia and Austin Fry (worked on a traffic flow problem) Team 3: Adam Bryan, Ben Kelty and Mallory Smarto (ranking all-time best college coaches)
