Survival Analysis, Applied Statistics, ORS Inferences, Computing
Dr. Malla's research is in the area of Order restricted inferences in nonparametric statistics. This relatively new research field develops statistical measures under constraints. For example, how does one take into account the cancer rates among smokers and non-smokers when it is known that non-smokers live longer than smokers, but the data may be in violation of this assumption! This is a challenging area with many applications mostly in survival analysis, life sciences, and reliability in engineering.
Dr. Malla also enjoys working in research projects in all fields of research activities where he particularly wants to apply new statistical procedures.
