Kelly Leon is Xavier's director for strategic communications. She oversees Xavier's comprehensive public relations strategy, University-wide strategic communications and serves as Xavier's spokesperson.
From 2007-2010, Leon was vice president for communications & community relations at Cincinnati Center City Development Corporation (3CDC). She has since operated her own public relations business, Kelly Leon Communications, LLC. Prior to joining 3CDC, Leon spent 11 years at Xavier, as director for media relations and later as associate vice president for public relations. Leon holds a bachelor's degree in political science from the University of Cincinnati and a master's in journalism from the Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
