First Year at Xavier University:
Dr. Greg Lubiani currently serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Health Services Administration at Xavier University in Cincinnati, OH. His areas of expertise are Health Economics, Health Policy Analysis, Environmental Economics, and Labor Economics. After completing a B.B.A. in Business Finance and a M.A. in Economics, he worked as an operations analyst for a national healthcare company for three years. He then left to pursue a career in higher education, completing his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Memphis in 2012. While enrolled in the doctoral program for three years, he taught as a full-time instructor of economics. Dr. Lubiani joined the faculty at Southwest Tennessee Community College in Memphis, TN in 2009. He would later serve as Visiting Assistant Professor of Economics at Mississippi State University in Starkville, MS during the 2011-12 academic year. Additionally, he participated as a research associate with the Methodist Le Bonheur Center for Healthcare Economics at the University of Memphis from 2010 through 2012. After graduating in May, 2012, Dr. Lubiani joined the faculty at Xavier University. He is actively engaged in scholarly research, having published multiple times in leading economics journals. In the summer of 2013, he was awarded a summer fellowship grant from Xavier University to study the effects of multiple pollution interactions on the physical and mental health of U.S. labor. Dr. Lubiani lives in Cincinnati, OH and is actively involved in church and community activities.
