Biography:

As an alumna of Xavier University, Ms. Christina Bolden graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in 2004, and was a recipient of the Lawrence J. Flynn S.J. Award. She serves as an adjunct professor in World dance and Modern dance. Her professional interests include ethnochoreographic research, Martha Graham technique as well as historical dances of the Renaissance and Baroque eras. Prior to teaching at Xavier, she held a faculty position at Contemporary Dance Theater. Ms. Bolden has also worked as a choreographer premiering her work, Limitations, at Contemporary Dance Theater’s Performance Time Artist Series. In May 2009 Ms. Bolden was selected as a celebrity guest for Cincinnati Arts Association's Dancing for the Stars, a local version of the ABC television show, benefiting the Overture Awards. During that month she was also commissioned along with Nicole Hunter to choreograph Visions from my Nightingale for Cincinnati Art Museum’s Surrealism opening gala.

Ms. Bolden has heavy community involvement, serving as a committee member for Cincinnati Arts Association's Dancing for the Stars. She is also a volunteer with Bloom Africa, an organization that supports sustainable growth in the African country of Lesotho.
