First Year at Xavier University:
Don Prues began teaching English at Xavier in 1995 as an adjunct instructor, while working full time during the day as an editor at Writer’s Digest Books. Don then had a five-year stint as a freelance writer and editor until he began teaching full time at Xavier in 2003.
Don’s courses include English Composition (ENGL 101), Studies in Fiction (ENGL 124), Literature & Moral Imagination (ENGL 205), and Writing, Editing, and Publishing Internship (ENGL 307). Don teaches both traditional students and those in Xavier’s Weekend Degree Program. He also has been a professional tutor with TRiO.
