Biography:

Graley Herren is a Professor of English at Xavier University, where he has taught since 1998. Before arriving in Cincinnati, he received his B.A. (1992) and M.A. (1994) degrees in English from the University of Tennessee, and his Ph.D. (1998) in English from Florida State University.  He specializes in Modern Irish Literature, Samuel Beckett, Modern Drama, and Irish Study Abroad. He is the author of Samuel Beckett's Plays on Film and Television (Palgrave Macmillan, 2007), as well as numerous articles on Beckett and other modern playwrights and novelists.  He serves on the executive boards for both the Comparative Drama Conference and the Samuel Beckett Society, and he edits the Society's newsletter, The Beckett Circle.  He lives in Cincinnati with his wife Cathy and their son Dylan. In 2010 Professor Herren was named the Bishop Fenwick Teacher of the Year.
