Biography:

John Sniegocki serves as the chairperson for the Peace and Justice Studies Minor and an associate professor of Christian Ethics. He recently published an essay on “The Political Economy of Sustainability” in Just Sustainability, ed. Christiana Peppard and Andrea Vicini, S.J. (Maryknoll, NY: Orbis Books, 2015). This volume is the third book in the series “Catholic Theological Ethics in the World Church.” Dr. Sniegocki also presented a paper on “Catholic Social Teaching and Food Ethics” at a conference on Catholic social teaching at the University of Notre Dame in March 2015 and will be presenting a paper on “Catholic Social Teaching and Economic Rights” at a human rights conference at the University of Dayton in October 2015. He is also faculty advisor for the student group “Animals, People, and the Earth at Xavier.”
