Description:

Jeremy Rifkin is president of the Foundation on Economic Trends, advisor to the European Union, and author of numerous books on the impact of scientific and technological changes on the economy.

He will discuss his recent book The Third Industrial Revolution, which focuses on the conjoining of internet communication technology and renewable energies.  In the 21st Century, hundreds of millions of human beings will be generating their own green energy in their homes, offices and factories, sharing it with one another across an Intergrid--just like they now create their own information and share it on the Internet.

As with the First Industrial Revolution in the 19th Century, and the Second Industrial Revolution in the 20th Century, the third Industrial Revolution will change every aspect of the way we work and live.

Mr. Rifkin's book will be available for purchase at the event, and he will do a book signing following the presentation.
