Description:

Community Action Day is Xavier's largest community service event. The goal of Community Action Day is to raise awareness about the needs and assets of our surrounding neighborhoods through action with our partner organizations to allow the Xavier community to live a part of our mission to be “men and women for and with others”.  Community Action Day is sponsored by the Dorothy Day Center for Faith & Justice.

Xavier’s Spring 2013 Community Action Day will take place on Saturday, March 23rd at 9:00 a.m.  The day begins with students signing up for a service site and enjoying a free breakfast. We will have a brief opening prayer and students will leave for service sites around 9:30 a.m.  Volunteers engage in a reflection with their service group and then return to campus around 12:30 for a complimentary lunch together.
