Description:

In an event titled, "An Exercise in Memory: Re-thinking the Role of Remembering in an Age of Amnesia," Vitalina Luna and Marta Ramirez of El Salvador will share their testimonies as survivors of civil war living in a country still suffering the effects of that war. Audience members will be encouraged to think about the collective historical memories that shape their own experiences and will be offered a space to stretch their own imaginations and memories to encompass a broader swath of humanity, beginning with these two women. CRISPAZ will also be featured in this event, recognizing the importance of the solidarity work they do in El Salvador. This event is a Spanish cultural event.
