Part of the Winter Music Festival
The Xavier Men’s and Women’s Choruses are presenting a Concert called “Here’s to Song!” on Wednesday February 20th 7:30 p.m. in Bellarmine Chapel. Included in the concert will be a guest performance by the Northern Kentucky Children’s Ensemble conducted by Glenda Crawford, visiting professor of Music Education in the Department of Music and Theatre. All three choirs will perform a set of their own music as well as joining together to perform Rutter’s Look at the World and the well-known Canadian folksong Here’s to Song. The Concert presents a variety of music that celebrates February: Love songs and pop ballads for Valentines, Spirituals for Black History Month, and some wintery songs including Edward Elgar’s The Snow. Crawford promotes the joy of singing, collaboration, and providing opportunities to showcase the talented musicians at Xavier University.
