patrick welch aka beartrap. I started playing rugby for Xavier as a freshman the fall of 2009 as a B side player. I played for Xavier in the spring of 2010 and I got some time in on the A side. Over the 2010 summer I joined the U-19 Worcester Massachusetts team.  It was 15v15. We competed in the MASS State Tournament but we came in second to Wilbraham Munson Academy.  I then tried out for the Massachusetts U-19 Select Side team. I made the team and played wing forward on the A side at the strong side 6 position.  Our team ended up winning the 2010 New England State Championship. During the 2010 Fall season I earned a starting spot at the wing forward position (6) at Xavier University. We lost in the first round of the playoffs.
