On Friday, March 13 beginning at 11:00 a.m., Xavier’s Williams College of Business invites you to learn about its 19-month, one day a week, Executive MBA (XMBA) program. Attendees will have the chance to talk with current XMBA students, alumni, and faculty, and sit in for an hour or more of class – for free! Attendees will also receive a waiver towards their application fee.

The Williams College of Business at Xavier University has named Barbara Henshaw as an executive-in-residence in the Gerald DeBrunner Executive-in-Residence Program. Henshaw is vice president and officer in charge at the Cincinnati Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland.

On March 21 at 7:30 pm, Xavier University’s select vocal Schola Cantorum, Harmonia Sacra, a professional ensemble of area liturgical musicians, and a professional chamber orchestra will present evening prayer with a twist at Bellarmine Chapel. The musical centerpiece will be the first ever American performance of a composition by Galuppi.

On January 26, 2009,sixteen Xavier MBA students competed against one another in the Association for Corporate Growth Cincinnati (ACG) competition. This Round One Xavier competition was held at Cintas Center, where groups presented their cases to a panel of six judges, all Xavier alumni. Two faculty sat on the judges’ panel: Shelly Webb, chair and associate professor of finance, and Dino Lucarelli, adjunct professor of finance.

The Xavier Women’s Chorus, under the direction of Linda Busarow, DMA, will premiere an arrangement of the National Anthem created for it. The chorus will perform the National Anthem at the Xavier women’s basketball game against St. Bonaventure at 1:00 on February 1. A repeat performance will be before the men’s game on February 5 at 7:00 pm against Temple, which will be televised on ESPN.
