Xavier University’s South Asian Society (SAS) is hosting the fourth annual Midwest Masala, a South Asian dance competition on Saturday, April 4th, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. in the Xavier’s Cintas Center main floor. Xavier University has received a $5,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation to help sponsor this year’s Edward B. Brueggeman Center for Dialogue Town Hall Meeting. This free open event will be on April 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the James & Caroline Duff Banquet Center on the Xavier campus, entitled The New Energy Economy: Is it Possible and If So, How Do We Get There?

The Xavier University Dance Team is once again on its way to national championship competition. For the fifth year in a row, the team is heading to Daytona Beach, FL to compete in the NDA Collegiate Championship April 9-11. They will compete in the Open Division I against more than a dozen other teams.

The Xavier University Women’s Center and the Office of International Student Services are bringing The Climate Change and Water Film Festival to Xavier University on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Schiff Conference Center at Cintas Center. The festival will be from 12:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. Admission is free of charge and open to the public. You are welcome to come for all or part of the event.

Xavier University is introducing two new study-abroad programs to begin this summer. From June 4-22, undergraduate students in any major can earn 6 credit hours while studying and traveling in Israel. From May 23 - 31, MBA students and interested alumni will take a 3-credit hour course.
