Xavier University ROTC Cadet Shaina Cales, of the All For One Battalion, is ranked #6 in the nation out of 5,355 Cadets and has earned recognition as a Distinguished Military Graduate. Cadet Skyler Saito also earned DMG recognition.

In a survey of more than 2,000 schools just released by The Princeton Review and Entrepreneur magazine, Xavier University was distinguished as one of the top schools for undergraduate entrepreneurship programs in the country. Xavier is ranked 11th up from 19th last year. This is the seventh year in a row Xavier's has been recognized among the top schools in the nation.

Photographers Mark Bealer and Vickie Daniels have an exhibit in Xavier University’s Cintas Center Gallery in the Schiff Conference Center. “Sweet Spots on State Routes” is up now and will stay on display through December. The Cintas Center is open 8 am to 8 pm. The exhibit is free, but all photos displayed are available for purchase.

He invites ethnic restaurant owners to share their cultures, their faith and their cuisine with Xavier students to different cultures, backgrounds and foods to show that no matter where people come from, or what faith they practice, we are all very similar.

Eight winners have been chosen in the first Xavier Launch-a-Business Competition, a program designed to boost the economy by supporting new businesses and nonprofits. The winners, selected from 166 applications, will receive free consulting services and other support from the Williams College of Business at Xavier University.

Dawn Makley, a 2007 magna cum laude graduate of the chemistry department at Xavier University, has received an American Chemical Society Division of Organic Chemistry Graduate Fellowship. Makley is a PhD candidate in Chemistry at Vanderbilt University.

“History in the Making” is the theme this Friday, August 20 from 7:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. when Xavier University’s Class of 2014 moves into their on-campus homes.
