Visitors to Xavier University’s Gallagher Student Center have a new option for lunch. Andy Hajjar, owner of Andy’s Mediterranean Grille in Walnut Hills, has taken over Ryan's Pub and Fresh Fusions Café, formerly operated by Chartwell’s for Xavier Dining. Hajjar will offer some of his signature dishes at the Andy’s Mediterranean (formerly Fresh Fusions) and Andy’s Mediterranean at Ryan’s (formerly Ryan’s Pub) locations.

An Open House at Xavier University’s new offsite MBA location in Northern Kentucky will be Wednesday, June 8th from 4:00pm – 7:00pm at 207 Grandview Drive, Third Floor, Ft. Mitchell, KY 41017. This will be a chance to see the suite. Staff from Xavier’s MBA office will be on hand to answer any questions. The event is free and open to all.

From July 26-31 and August 2-7, 2011, volunteers are invited to travel to Guatemala with local nonprofit Cooperative for Education (CoEd) and 25 other volunteers from across North America to bring educational opportunities to disadvantaged youth. Those who sign up for a 2011 Summer Snapshot before May 31st will receive $100 off the regular cost.

In a continuing sign that entrepreneurism is strong in Greater Cincinnati, entrepreneurs filed 146 applications in the 2011 Xavier Launch-a-Business Competition, a program that supports economic development.
X-LAB, which is run by the Williams College of Business at Xavier University, will announce about 10 winners in August after a rigorous screening process that includes two interviews with the applicants.
