Ping Student Service Award from Ohio Campus Compact, a non-profit organization of 47 Ohio colleges and universities with strong community service, service-learning, and/or civic engagement programs.

Xavier University will bring Alfombras, a South American tradition, to life on April 3-4. An Easter event celebrated since the 16th century, carpets, also known as Alfombras, are created with sawdust and then dyed to illustrate images of religious figures and biblical stories.

It seeks to promote the financial stability of individuals and families in our region. Anyone interested in learning ways to enhance or maintain financial stability is welcome.

CINCINNATI, Feb. 24, 2012 -- Xavier University’s Alternative Breaks Club (XUAB) marks its 11th anniversary this year. Over that time it has expanded from 3 service trips in the United States to 25 trips across the U.S. and abroad. Most occur during spring break, which for Xavier is March 5-9, but three occur over summer break.

Thirty-eight color images spanning the career of freelance photojournalist Doug Cochran will be on display at the Cintas Gallery of the Cintas Center on Xavier University’s campus (enter at the Schiff Conference Center door). It will be open Monday-Saturday 9-5 from March 1 through June 30. Admission is free.
