Xavier University Police Department bike officer Mike Long will participate in the Police Unity Tour, a 250-mile bicycle ride over May 10-12 from Portsmouth Virginia to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial via the Tidewater Trail Route. At 3:00 p.m. every May 12, bicyclists and supporters converge at the Memorial in an emotional, yet spectacular, arrival ceremony witnessed by thousands.

Xavier University’s 174th commencement ceremonies will be Saturday, May 12 at the University’s Cintas Center. No tickets are required and commencement is open to the public. A Baccalaureate Mass will be May 11 at 8:00 p.m. at the Cathedral of St. Peter in Chains in downtown Cincinnati. On May 12, Xavier will confer 868 undergraduate degrees beginning at 9:00 a.m. and 966 graduate degrees beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The Xavier University Army Reserve Officer Training Corps “All for One” Battalion will host a regional Best Ranger competition on April 21 at Xavier’s Armory, Withrow High School, and Mt. Airy Forest. This is the 13th year for the competition. It gives a good look into some of what those who defend our country are called to do.
