Xavier’s Professional Development Center and Cincinnati NEW (Network of Executive Women) are hosting a free panel event on Oct 17 from 5 pm – 7 pm at Xavier’s Cintas Center. Male and female graduate and undergraduate students from UC, Miami, NKU and Xavier are invited. This particular event is open to students only and registration is required.

Suzanne Michele Chouteau, professor and chair of Xavier University’s Department of Art, is one of 18 Americans whose work was included in the International Print Triennial, an international printmaking exhibition. Chouteau’s work, Black Water Horizon (woodcut; 48” h x 60”w) was selected to the Krakow exhibit.

Xavier University’s Office of Interfaith Community Engagement (Rabbi Abie Ingber, founding director) and Center for the Study of the American Dream created the contest as part of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce’s follow-up on the booklet, Cincinnati: A City of Immigrants.

A new set of college rankings ranks the success of alumni. Alumni Factor is the first to use alumni data to grade schools based on how successful their graduates are in their careers and their lives. Xavier University was one of only 177 U.S. schools ranked and one of eight Ohio schools.

Last academic year, 66 Xavier University MBA students completed a semester-long Doing Business in the Global Economy course, which required a 10- to 12-day international study trip. Students traveled to China, Hong Kong, Brazil, Argentina, London and Germany, where they completed a global market opportunity analysis, examining the viability of introducing a new product or service to an international market.

Brandon Hoff, Xavier University senior in business and president of the local Gamma Alpha Iota Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma fraternity, will facilitate a free anti-hazing workshop on Xavier’s campus in the Kennedy Auditorium at 7 pm on Sept. 6. Chapters all through the country will be doing something similar that day, which is National Anti-Hazing Day. Xavier is the host site for the University of Cincinnati, Miami University, and Northern Kentucky University.
