A total of 45 MBA students are engaged as XU MBA Small Business Consultants for the spring 2013 semester.
The students will not only provide consulting services pro-bono to regional small business and non-profit organizations, but they will select and help the Xavier Launch a Business (X-LAB) winners and be assigned to Cintrifuse businesses.
Additionally 17 undergraduate business students are engaged in consulting for 4 entities: Bean & Grapes, X-Link, Betta's Restaurant, and Cash Mob.
United Cerebal Palsy of Greater Cincinnati will receive consulting on developing their business plan for growth & expansion.
And, an inaugural experience has kicked-off in which an Xavier MBA Alum - Joyce Powdrill - has "hired" MBA consultants to launch her consulting business which will assist minority suppliers.
Finally, I have two other MBA independent study classes (2 undergrads and 7 MBA's):
- United Cerebral Palsy of Greater Cincinnati - helping develop a business plan for growth
- Joyce Powdrill's - she plans to launch a consulting business to help minority suppliers - we are helping her develop the processes for her consulting practice.
In the end, 71 students will provide pro-bono consulting that will stimulate small business development, non-profit growth, and the entrepreneurial spirit - all of which are alive & well in the Tri-State Region.
