Barry Joffe has extensive experience in career consulting, recruiting and human resource management. Most recently he spent 8 1/2 years with DBM Inc., a global career transition and outplacement consulting firm where he served as Managing Consultant for the Cincinnati market and District Managing Consultant for two separate five-location multi-state districts. He has counseled a broad range of individuals from senior executives to individual contributing professionals and operations personnel and delivered a variety of career planning workshops. His familiarity with a broad range of organization structures, industry sectors and disciplines provide a solid platform from which to deliver career advice. He has authored several articles on career issues.

Prior to DBM, Barry was Director of Executive Search Consulting for a Bason Associates Inc. a retained executive search firm. His earlier background includes senior level generalist human resources roles in the public sector.

Barry has assumed numerous leadership roles in the community. He has an extensive background in local government in both a professional and representative capacity. He was first elected a member of Council of the City of Montgomery, OH, in December 2005 and re-elected in November 2009 for a second term. He currently serves as Chair of the Law and Safety Committee. Prior to his position on Council, he was Chairman of the Civil Service Commission of the City. He is Certified Arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau.

Barry received his Bachelor of Social Science (Honors) and Master of Arts degrees in sociology from the University of Cape Town, South Africa and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Bar Ilan University, Israel.
