Angela grew up in Michigan and attended Grand Valley State University where she completed her undergraduate degree in English. While leading alternative break service immersion trips during college, she discovered a passion for working with justice issues and facilitating learning opportunities for others. In order to follow this passion she attended graduate school at Illinois State University, earning her master’s degree in educational administration. Angela has worked with community engagement and leadership development programs at Texas A&M University and at Capital University (Columbus, OH). She is now happy to call Cincinnati and Xavier University home. Angela serves as the Associate Director for Xavier's Dorothy Day Center for Faith & Justice, where she lives out her passions of social justice education, reflection, discernment, and engaging Strengths. In her spare time she enjoys hiking, music, creative projects, and spending quality time with family and friends.
