Doug has served as Xavier's Director of Web Services since 2005. During that time, Xavier's web site has seen an incredible transformation with a variety of new high profile websites.

  • In 2005, Xavier Athletics launched GoXavier.com, a more rich and timely athletic website that includes a Live Gametracker, on-line sports auctions, videos of player profiles and a special subscription area for Musketeer fans.
  • In January of 2006, the office of admission launched The Road to Xavier, a special website dedicated only to accepted high school seniors. With it's own on-line community, extreme interactive elements like cartoons, videos and photo galleries, and completely personalization for each prospective student, The Road to Xavier was hailed by the Web Marketing Association as the 2006 Best University Website in the Nation.
  • In October of 2006, the Office of Web Services launched a re-designed Xavier homepage and top tier architecture. After much coordination with the University community and Xavier's Marketing Department, the new Xavier homepage provides a better branded design, much simplier navigation and some fun elements including information about merchandise, videos and other multimedia, and a dynamic campus calendar. The previous homepage had over 120 main links in a number of lengthy drop-down menus while the new homepage has only nine main links, simplifying navigation for users. Xavier's external website is frequented by prospective students, alumni & friends, athletic fans, parents, and the general community.
  • In November of 2006, Xavier's Division of University Relations launched the Alumni & Friends website complete with information about Alumni affairs, Giving, and Xavier's latest campaign, To See Great Wonders. Xavier alumni have a personalized log-in that allows for a very personalized experience for them and their fellow graduates.
  • In August 2007, Web Services launched a re-design of Xavier's MyXU Portal. Early in 2007, the traditional external web team merged with the internal MyXU portal staff under Doug's leadership. Today, the portal is regulary used by more than 6,000 students as well as faculty and staff.
